NORDLEK is about people coming together and uniting the Nordic region through a shared love for folk music and folk dance.

The NORDIC MUSIC concerts reflect this purpose through a series of five different concerts, created by 12 very talented young people in collaboration with well-established folk music artists. Each of them has shared from their own cultural treasure chest in meeting the others. Together, they cover traditional areas from large parts of the Nordic region, and like all living traditions, it is about what happens here and now seen in the light of traditions from the past.

The artistic interplay of the performers will take you on experiences you will not soon forget! Using dance, music, and song drawn from their own traditions, they challenge each other and the audience to look beyond their own borders and focus on what binds us together in the Nordic region.

Each of the 5 concerts has unique ways of bringing out a Nordic sound. We look forward to opening Nordic doors to a whole new world of dance, music, and song. Together we will celebrate our Nordic cultural heritage!
